For my first statement in Parliament, I paid tribute to two Oro-Medonte township councillors who have recently passed away. Both were outstanding men and community leaders.

Councillor Scott Macpherson passed on Nov. 6, 2019, and is remembered as a retired teacher, dedicated community volunteer and a two-term city councillor.

Deputy Mayor Scott Jermey, who passed on Nov. 20, 2019, is remembered a dairy farmer, local leader and lifelong Oro-Medonte resident.

Both Scott Macpherson and Scott Jermey are deeply missed. Oro-Medonte continues to mourn these losses, and will forever remember their positive legacies.
